Planning in the United States has also consistently acted as a tool to support and perpetuate white supremacy through displacement, housing discrimination, environmental racism, and economic oppression (among others). Any discussion of planning today must consider issues of race and how our decisions replicate existing harmful patterns. Curious to learn more?
